More realistic Want-to-do's
- Using my eprom reader/burner, modify classic games like
Pac-man or Donkey Kong to play themselves.. a limited
AI, in super teeny mem ory space, for limited games
- Write new games.. for unix, or arcade. Write a choplifter?
- WindowManager (or just extensions). Good *looking* and functional
pie-menus .. dynamic theme manager .. transparent themes for
everything!
- Emulator for the Newton (Cinematronics?)
- MudBasic and perhaps my old Mud
- DietBuddy for Newton
- Retrocade
Want-to-do's...
- Work on my atari 2600 programming environment.. macro assembler..
- cinematronics assembler?
- Dig up the source for that funky resource file lib
- Read source for gnu regex; figure it out for laughs.
- GGI?
- GNURobots extensions with Mishka -- add complex terrain? add customizer
routines (ie: monsters with fire breathing, instead of robots)? Add
opcode timing for mechnical operations (like walking, scanning,
firing, etc). Add a "broadcast" function so robots can gab together.
They can parse the messages to see if it has keyword for their team,
or whatever.
- psf -- a "ps" filter that displays ps's output in a
"PCTools" sort of text hierarchical display. Also perhaps
psxf -- an X11 filter, that displays it GUI'ily, with a nice
gtk +-tree widget displaying the processes..
- top down realtime game, a la warcraft; really, they're just
classic tile-based games. Heck, embed guile and make it like
Omega or C-Robots.. but with realtime topdown nice looking
interface.
- Unix port of BBS Pro from the 8bit Atari days..
- Amber parser based pixelboard scroller thingamajigger
- cookiebot; must work on the stepper motor abstraction and
controller, to allow for better and finer control. Maybe work
on a ucron (fine tuned cron, instead of second basis).
- IFE -- interactive fiction engine from hell. Retrofiction.
- laser-pointer based vector games?
- Keyboard controled minicase tool?
- M-x b1ff-region, b1ff-mode, etc
- Retrocade [arcade] See here
- MESS (what used to be XNES) [coleco, nes, genesis] See here
- Work on my vic20 emulation (and infocom and s-a interps)
- SVGAlib support for retrocade/mess on netbsd/freebsd/linux
- Do the SNES9x port to Solaris/X11 [snes]
- Port X68 to Unix/X11 [x68]
- Text adventure game engine improvements/rewrite [magscroll, s.a., info]
- Java based vector or raster game emulation? Space Duel?
- goofy telnettable BBS project
- telnet client that supports commoredore graphics (c64, vic20, etc)
- Cool rotating playfield action shooter game
- Commodore Vic 20 emulator
- Play-by-email teris and invaders
- Some java demos and games
- Playing some PBEM games :)
- other stuff ;)
